CANANDAIGUA: Age 73 of Canandaigua passed away on Friday Feb. 26, 2016 at FF Thompson Hospital.
Friends may call Tuesday March 1st from 11am to 1pm at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 West Main Street, Clifton Springs. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in the Spring.
Friends may contribute to the New Covenant Baptist Church, Canandaigua or the American Lung Association in Paul’s memory.
Paul was born September 5, 1942 in Rochester the son of the late Alfred and Evelyn Lang. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam war. Paul was a cab driver for Tri City Cab Co. In Canandaigua and was a member of the New Covenant Baptist Church.
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita Lang of Canandaigua; daughter, Paulette Lang of Canandaigua; sisters, Shirley Graham of Sodus and June (Bruce) Bunnell of Canandaigua; brother, David (Cynthia) Lang of VA; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

NEWARK: Age 86, died Friday (February 26, 2016) at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home. Mr. Armitage was born October 21, 1929 in Seneca Falls, the son of the late Charles Bernard and Elizabeth Morgan Armitage. After graduating from Newark High School in 1948, Bernie joined the US Air Force. While in the service, he was stationed in Korea during the conflict and was honorably discharged in 1952 at the rank of S/Sgt. He was a member of the Arcadia Memorial Post #2883 VFW. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church. For 17 years, Bernie work for the Finger Lakes Development Center, as an evening supervisor at a group home in Ontario, retiring in 1991. Previously, he had worked at Bloomer Bros. and Borden Chemical. Bernie is survived by his children Deborah Silverman of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph (Ellen) of Waterloo, Paul of San Antonio, TX, twins Lisa (Paul) Visca of Pittsford and Tina McMullen of Williamson; twelve grandchildren Ryan, Andrew, Philip, Michael, Thalia, Taryn, Kailani, Kelli Jo, Mary, Matthew, Adriana and Madelyn; Bernie was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Nancy in 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Wednesday (March 2nd) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark- Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery. SODUS: Age 87, passed away on Friday February 26th following a lenghty illness. Hilda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Louis; son Richard LeRoy; grandchildren Julie Cruz, Kevin (Kim) LeRoy, and Destiny LeRoy; great grandchild Lucas LeRoy. Hilda was predeceased by her son Gregory LeRoy in 2012. Daughter of the late Peter and Eloise VanHorn, she was born and raised in Pultneyville. ST. PETE., FL/WOLCOTT, NY/NEWARK, NY: Joyce Tosca, 75, went to be with the angels on February 24, 2016, at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Huron, NY, to the late Walter and Olive (Cline) Kiphut, on July 25, 1940, Joyce had 1 older brother and 3 older sisters, making her the baby of the family. She grew up in the Huron/Wolcott area, and attended Leavenworth Central School. She worked many places, but most notable were Comstock Foods in Eygpt, NY, Seneca Foods in Marion, NY, and IEC Electronics in Newark, NY. She retired from IEC and moved to St. Pete.,FL. In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother, Robert J Kiphut, and her sister Maebelle H Pitts. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Colin Moorcock, and her beloved children; Daniel O Shoemaker of Wimauma FL, Pennie R (Christopher) Horn of Imboden AR, Susan M (Tony) Safian of St. Pete. FL, and Michele J Lopez (Marc Edwards) of North Rose NY. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Mary E Milan-Blanchard of Wolcott NY, and Naomi (Richard) Randall of Auburn NY., 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She’ll always be remembered for her smile, her ever present cup of coffee, and her loving heart. There was a private service for Joyce, at the home of her daughter, Susan, on Sunday, 02/28/2016. Notice will be given for a service for Joyce at a later date, in Wolcott, NY, before burial in the family cemetery site at Huron Evergreen Cemetery, in Huron.

WALWORTH: June passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2016, surrounded by her family, at the age of 89. She was born on February 5, 1927 to the late Jefferson and Lillian Collett. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean (Earl) Garbee. June is survived by her husband of 66 years, Howard; son, Rick (Lisa); daughters, Elaine (Jan) and Emily (Sam); grandchildren; great grandchildren. PetonMARION: Entered into rest on February 26, 2016 at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his wife Jeanne (Durant) Pelton. Survived by daughters, Tracy Kleinbach; Christine Pelton; Tamara Pocock; and Jennifer (Peter) Florescu; step children, John Mark (Sue) DeHaan; Rickard DeHaan; Regan DeHaan; grandchildren, Dallas DeHaan; Tina DeHaan; Hunter Fallon; Cheyne DeHaan; Ryker DeHaan; Ethan DeHaan; Riley DeHaan; Ava Pocock; and Lily Florescu; Brother, David Pelton; John was a veteran of The United States Army and also attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He held a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, but decided he did not want to fly planes and instead pursued a career in engineering on the ground. He worked for General Electric in Syracuse initially in the 1960’s and then went to work for Xerox for the rest of his career. He retired from Xerox in 1999 and travelled the country with his beloved wife, Jeanne in their motor home. He loved technology, ham radios, electronics and had a sharp and brilliant mind, right to the end. He had a great sense of humor and was a gentle and wise man, always quick with advice or a funny story. John loved his family and his wife, Jeanne immensely and he will be missed greatly by all who loved him. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. NEWARK: Age 93, died Monday (February 29, 2016) at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus. Charlotte was born on October 31, 1922, in Newark the daughter of late Paul and Charlotte Wiser Reeves. She was a 1941 graduate of Newark High School and served in the US Army during World War II. Charlotte was a long time employee of the Newark Development Center, where she was a night attendant, retiring in 1991. She is survived by one sister Martha Anderson of Lyons; several nieces and nephews including Judy Anderson of Lyons and Susan Reeves of Newark. She was predeceased by six sibllings Elsie Nichols, Florence Wusnick, Carl, Raymond, John and Roger Reeves. ALTON: Passed away February 22, 2016 at Clifton Springs Hospital at the age of 74. William is survived by his loving daughters Mandy Catherine Church, Charyn (John) Alward, grandchildren Michael, Megan, Madelene and devoted son Shawn William Church. William was predeceased by his parents William Wallace Church and Isabella McEachern Napier. William served in the US Army from February 1963 to February 1965. He enjoyed building and working on custom cars and motorcycles. He was an accomplished artist and woodworker. William enjoyed fishing and also took great pleasure in playing the guitar for family and friends. William Church will be sadly missed by all who knew him. NEWARK: Age 81, died Wednesday (March 2, 2016) at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Mrs. Goodman was born on May 5, 1934, in Newark the daughter of the late Byron and Natalie Young Carr. She was a 1952 graduate of Newark High School and earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from Geneseo State in 1956. Lynn taught kindergarden at Lincoln School for several years. She then took time to raise her children before returning as a substitute teacher in the elementary schools of Newark. Lynn was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was the superintendent and taught Sunday School for many years. She also did many other service projects and social work with the church. Lynn volunteered for the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross and a member of the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Auxiliary where she was in the Twig that took baby pictures. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert T., three children Kathleen (Robert) Zappia of Newark, Marjorie (Kevin) Wall of Canandaigua, Robert B. (Lisa) of Apalachin, NY; eight grandchildren Colleen, Kyle, Kevin Zappia, Stephanie, Natalie Wall; Robert (RJ), Alex and Ryan Goodman. Friends may call from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday (March 6th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.
