EXTON, PA: Shirley Crosby Stevens, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was the beloved wife of M. John Stevens, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Durham, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late C. Murphy and J. Ann Ligon Crosby. Shirley and her husband started their family in Ontario shortly after their marriage. She worked in their family business, Stevens Gas Service. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered for how generously she shared her love and laughter. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her children, Keith Stevens and Julia Stevens (Eric Cobb); two grandchildren, Anne and Mary Stevens; a step-grandchild, Alicia M. Stout; a sister and five brothers; a sister-in-law, Marlyn Stevens; a brother-in-law, Mark (Colleen) Stevens; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters and her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Stevens. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Ontario, NY. Elaine grew up in Wallington, NY, predeceased by her parents, Charles and Julia Wren and her siblings, Harold Charles, Jr., Lowell, Lois Fisher, Richard Edward and Darwin Wren, Predeceased by her husband Titus Guillotte and stepdaughter Charlotte. Survived by her children Vernon Beck, Stephanie Lund, Julie Garrison and stepchildren James, Thomas and James Paul Parker. Sisters-in-law Shirley Wren, Kathy Wren and Nancy Wren. Many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all. There will be no services.

LYONS: Prutsman, Stephanie Lynn (Knarr), age 45, passed away on Saturday (March 24, 2018) at Newark Wayne-Community Hospital. Stephanie is the daughter of Nick and Beverly (French) DiSanto of Lyons, N.Y. and James Knarr, Sr. and Cathy of Newark, N.Y. She was born on October 1, 1972 at Newark Wayne-Community Hospital in Newark, N.Y. She will be remembered for her zest of life and her energy she put forth in anything she attempted to try. She loved her cat. She and her husband loved to travel. Stephi loved to sing and dance. She was noted most for her love of music. She did many parties as the DJ. She graduated with honors from Lyons Jr./Sr. High School (Class of 1991) and went on to get her Associates Degree at Finger Lakes Community College. Her working years consisted of paralegal work for many lawyers in the area. But her favorite thing to do was teaching Zumba. She is survived by her husband, Gary Prutsman of Newark, N.Y.; one son, William Pulver of Newark, N.Y.; one sister, Patty Marr of Lyons, N.Y. and one very special nephew, Jordan Marr; her mother and stepfather, Beverly (French) DiSanto and Nick DiSanto of Lyons, N.Y.; maternal grandmother, Lillian Cherrier of Marion, N.Y.; one stepsister, Michele DiSanto of Clyde, N.Y.; two stepbrothers Peter and Paul DiSanto and their families; three half-sisters Frances Acker of Clyde, N.Y, Mary Marotta of Port Gibson, N.Y. and Erma Covert of Waterloo, N.Y.; one half- brother, James Knarr, Jr. and Linda of Norfolk, Virginia. One very special great aunt, Joyce French with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of very special friends. ARCADIA: Joyce Ann DeRue, 74 entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Joyce was born the daughter of the late Peter and Elnora (Boughton) Brevet on Wednesday, December 8, 1943 in Newark, NY. She spent her life in the Newark/Arcadia area, graduating from Newark High School class of 1960. Over the years she had worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, Newark Courier-Gazette Paper for over 20 years and then for Ely & Leene Agency Insurance. Joyce was a member of the Fairville Presbyterian Church She enjoyed reading, knitting, watching baseball, including the Newark Orioles baseball team. Joyce watched the Buffalo Bills, but loved the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. Joyce will be remembered by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold F DeRue; daughter, Tracy Herold; son, Scott (Cheryl Packmen) DeRue; grandchildren, Calan DeRue, Morgan Herold and Adam DeRue; brother, Peter (Nancy) Brevet; sister, Sandy (Edward) DeRue; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Jennifer DeRue. PALMYRA: Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Pines of Peace at age 64. Bonnie was predeceased by her father, Edward R. Straight and niece, Jaimie Dornon. She is survived by her husband, Charles D. “Dan”; sons, Thomas (Tammy) and Nathan (Pam); grandsons, Dillon and Shawn; mother, Dorothy Straight; siblings, Melody Knell, Edward (Theresa), Tammy (Tommy) Catlett, Wendy (Teber) Haywood and Kim (Jon) Sproul; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special cousins. NEWARK: Age 94, died Thursday (March 29, 2018) at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Paul was born on November 26, 1923 in Newark, the son of the late Anthony and Marion Tavano Palermo. He was a graduate of Newark High School where he excelled in several sports. He was a life long communicant of St. Michael Church. After high school, Paul enlisted in the Army where he became a tank driver. He severed with the 2nd Armored Division “The Fury of Hell on Wheels”. He landed in Normandy in the second wave, then thru Northern France, the Rhineland and The Ardennes (the Battle of the Bulge). He was a member of both the Arcadia Memorial Post VFW and the August Mauer Post American Legion. Paul was an upholsterer at Hallagan Furniture for more than forty years, retiring at age 63. He had been an avid bowler and a craftsman doing his woodworking in the basement of his home. He is survived by his daughter Paula (Sergei) Bartishevich of Lyons, two grandchildren Charlie (Magdalena) Bartishevich and Stacia (Christopher) Santelli; his AFS grandson Klaus Smaerup; four great grandchildren Tyler and Jenna Santelli and Sebastian and Dominik Bartishevich; a sister Rose (Gary) LaLonde of Auburn; sister-in-laws Eleanor Palermo, Yolanda DerCola, Rowena Redmond and Phyllis Palermo; many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his wife Nancy Gentile Palermo in 2009, sisters Babe (Harland) Craver, Catherine Palermo, brothers Anthony (June), Rocco (Iona), Frank (Betty), John, Cosmo; brother-in-laws Louis DerCola, Vincent, Aniellio and Anthony Gentile. CLYDE: Age 75, Passed away peacefully with her Angels by her side, after a long courageous battle with cascer on Monday (March 26, 2018) at the DeMay Living Center. Donna was born on March 9, 1943 in Lyons, the daughter of the late Carl W. and Frances O’Brien Boden, Sr. She was a graduate of Clyde Central School Class of 1961. Donna loved to dance, bake, play bingo but most of all her family, friends and life itself. RED CREEK: Age 76, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, with his wife by his side. Lynn was born in North Rose, son of the late Evelynn Drury, and Mary Messenger Drury. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a factory worker at several locations in the area. One of his favorite hobbies was carving leather. He was proud to be 43 years sober and spending time with other people from AA as well as acting as his peers sponsors. Lynn is survived by his wife, Pat Van Horn Drury, two daughters, Lynn Lyon of Fair Haven, and, Cynthia (Mohamamed)Ben Salama of Rochester, five sons, Jeffrey Thomas Gould of Rochester, Mark (Teresse) Gould of Denver, CO, Stephen Lang of Red Creek, Jordan Lang of Williamson, and, Nathan (Samantha) Lang of PA, a sister, June (Lee) Blake of Clyde, Grandchildren, Dana, Enjoli, Chantelle, Stachia, Bailey, Malika, Claire, Kate, Savanah, Aubrey, Samir, Sayeed, Ananina, and Hasnae as well as numerous nieces and nephews. LYONS: Charles N. Walker, 82 entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Rochester General Hospital. Charles was born the son of the late Kenneth and Thelma (Lindsey) Walker on Monday, July 15, 1935 in Penfield, NY. He was a graduate of Penfield High School class of 1953. Right after high school Charlie joyed the United States Army. While in the service, he played baseball and received Letters of Commendation and the Helms Award. After his military tour, he was offered a position with the Manchester United Soccer Team. He turned down the offer to return home to family. While in Germany, he played soccer, and 1955 he played for the United States in the former Hitler’s Coliseum. After his military service he played softball for Al’s Green Tavern and won the world championship in the late 1950’s. During this time he tried out for a major league baseball team and was denied for health reason. The funeral home proudly flies the Army Flag in his honor his service to our country. Charlie will be remembered by his wife of 35 years, Raphael “Raffy” M Walker; son, Charles (Marsha) Walker and family; daughter, Kathy Walker and family; brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Walker; sisters, Jennifer (Taylor) Brown and Joanne Walker; step-son, Edward R Woods; step-daughter, Meredith A Sposato; step-granddaughter, Ashley N Sposato; many, nieces and nephews and friends.
