MARION: Beatrice A. Murray, 79, was taken from us suddenly with her best buddy, ConJoe the dog, by her side. Beatrice is predeceased by her husband James Murray Sr., Son Carl Murray and Daughter, Frances Murray.  Survived by her children, Jim Murray Jr., Donna Cody (Bill)Carol Murray (Brad), Bob Murray (Laura), and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beatrice was one of the most loving people you would ever meet. Beatrice loved her family, her country music and casino outings with her family. Per her wishes, there will be no services held. The family will have a private graveside gathering with close friends.

CLYDE: Sylvia Montemorano, age 89, of Clyde NY passed away peacefully on February 19 surrounded by family at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, NY. Sylvia was born February 4, 1930 to Nicholas and Eva (Trombino) Santelli. She was raised and attended school in Lyons, NY and worked in the grocery business with her parents and siblings until marrying Santo Montemorano in November of 1950. Together she and her husband Santo settled in Clyde and raised their 8 children. She was a devout member of St. John’s the Evangelist in Clyde and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed baking, cooking and tending to her very large garden that would produce many wonderful treats and meals. Sylvia celebrated many special times with her large family and friends especially on Sundays, when as many as 35-40 family members would share a meal celebrating birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. All of her family will forever cherish her memory knowing her love for them will never cease and is eternal. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband Santo Montemorano of Clyde with who she enjoyed 68 years of marriage; 7 children David (Anna) Montemorano of Albuquerque, NM, Robert (Cheryl) Montemorano of Clyde, Santo (Julie) Montemorano of Clyde, Joseph (Elizabeth) Montemorano of Ossining, NY, Thomas (Diane) Montemorano of Towaco, NJ, Kathy (Gordon) Schrader of Clyde; Julie (Robert) Molisani of Caledonia, NY; son-in-law Rich Bruno of Clyde; she will be also missed by her 23 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored. She was predeceased by her daughter Maria Bruno (Montemorano), siblings Kenneth Santelli, Samuel Santelli, Adeline Venuti, Mary Cascioli. Calling hours will be Friday Feb 22 from 4-7pm at the Pusateri-Canolesio Funeral Home, 68 Sodus St, Clyde NY. WILLIAMSON: Joan Hakes, 86, welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Joan was a faithful follower of her Lord, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  She loved music, sewing, baking, birdwatching, spending time with her family, caring for her husband and their home, reading her Bible, and praying faithfully for all she loved. Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leon, and their 4 children:  Kim Mantz (Dan), Sheri Hart (John), Jeffrey (Caryn Beth) and Pam Riggleman (Jay). Loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, one of whom was there to welcome her when she arrived. Joan is also survived by her brother, Frank Morgenweck of Middleburgh, NY. A Service of Celebration will be held on March 2nd at 1:00pm at Bible Baptist Church of Sodus, 6181 Ridge Road, Sodus, NY. SODUS: In Loving Memory of Gary Robert Yenei, 63, entered into eternal rest on Monday January 14th, 2019, at his home in Sodus. He was laid to rest January 19th, in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville N.Y. Gary was born the son of Robert and Margery (Collins) Yenei on Tuesday August 2nd, 1955 in Rochester N.Y. He moved to Walworth and graduated from Marion Central High School. Gary worked in construction most of his life, he loved working with his hands, being outdoors and had a special love for animals. Gary will be remembered by his loving wife Marlene (Harter) Yenei, grandson Dominick McDowel, father Robert Yenei, brother Roger (Pam) Yenei and sister Sheri Yenei, several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded by his Mother Margery (Collins) Yenei.

PORT BYRON/CLYDE: Kim Edward LaRue, 61, of Port Byron passed away Feb 19, 2019 surrounded by his family.  He was the son of the late Leon and M. Ruth (Johnson) LaRue of Clyde, NY. He attended Clyde-Savannah High School and was employed at the Clyde-Savannah P&C Store in his youth. As an adult, he worked at Herman’s Sawmill in Marion, Tessy Plastics in Elbridge and Currier Plastics in Auburn. He enjoyed working on small engines and doing wood crafts. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family, and friends. He is survived by his wife Jodi; daughters Christine (Robert) Farr of Wolcott, Michelle LaRue of Wolcott; son Michael LaRue of Port Byron; grandsons Christian Farr, Drew Farr, Jordan LaRue, Dakota LaRue, AJ Huntington; great granddaughter Ayra Grace; sisters Pamela General of Rochester, Michelle Tavano of Clyde, Candy (Richard) Stewart of Texas; several nephews and best friend Ken Dean of Cato and Earl LaBar of Wolcott. PALMYRA: After a short decline, Shirley passed away on February 20, 2019 at age 90. She was born on October 27, 1928 to the late Bruce Coe and Lillian Axtell Coe. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Larry DeLyser; in-laws, John and Sarah DeLyser. Survived by her daughter, Laurie; sister, Carl (Earl) Salo; brother, Robert Coe; sister-in-law, Delores Dingman; brother-in-law, Roger (Toni) DeLyser and nieces and nephews. Shirley graduated from SUNY Oswego and taught 2nd grade in Marion. She and her husband, Larry operated DeLyser’s Tavern in Macedon, for many years. Shirley’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday (February 26), 11 AM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. ONTARIO: Suddenly, Frank passed away on February 21, 2019 at age 75.  He was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Frances Urbanik; brother, Thomas Urbanik; sisters, Loretta and Sylvia. Frank is survived by his siblings, Adam (Nancy) Urbanik, Linda and Larry (Eileen) Urbanik; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Frank loved sports and was and avid Yankees fan. He was heavily involved with Wayne Eagles sports teams and enjoyed being a part of their organization. Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4-8 PM on Thursday (February 28) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (March 1), 11 AM at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, NY. NEWARK: Passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 80. Lloyd was born in Palmyra, NY on July 24, 1938 to the late Alfred and Helen “Gulick” Johnson; he is survived by his brother Ron (Linda) Johnson; niece, Deborah (Mark) McEwen; nephew, Michael (Heather) Johnson, other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lloyd served his country through the United States Army.  He was retired from St. John’s Home in Rochester, NY. He enjoyed music and played the banjo, bass, in several bands. Lloyd had a strong love and connection to his dog Roscoe with whom he is pictured. Semmler, Ruth  L.

MARION/NEWARK: Surrounded by her family at the Fairport Baptist Home, Ruth peacefully took her last breath on Sunday (February 24, 2019), 28 days after achieving her goal of being 100. Mrs. Semmler was born at home on January 28, 1919 in Irondequiot, the daughter of the late William and June Cole Stanton.  She was a 1936 graduate of Webster High School. Ruth married Harold Semmler in 1938.  She was the manager of the Marion Insurance Agency from 1956 until her retirement in 1972.  Ruth also helped her husband for twenty-five years on their fruit and vegetable farm in Marion. After retirement, they lived in Sodus Point, Palmetto, Florida and Newark. After the death of her husband, she lived at Ashton Place in Clifton Springs before moving to the Fairport Baptist Home.  When living in Marion, Ruth was a member of the Marion Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved with many church activities. She also had been an active member of the Farm Bureau while in Marion.  Up to the week of her passing Ruth kept current by reading the Rochester newspaper each and every day. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.  She is survived by three sons Don (Jean) of Penfield, John (Pam Silverteen) of Ithaca and Seminole, FL. and F. William (Kathy) of Victor; nine grandchildren, Lori Bieschke, Eric Semmler, Jennifer Ritger, Amy Semmler, Jamie Semler, Heather Dale, Kathleen Semmler, Robert Semmler and Laura Taylor; eleven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren;  a brother Vern (Faith) Stanton of Fl. and sister-in-laws Barbara Stanton of Williamson and Leona Beach of CT.; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her Harold in 2005; grandson Andrew Semmler; sisters Kay Wedman and Alma Keller; brothers Melvin, Donald, Wilbur, Lester, Dean and William, Jr. Stanton. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Baptist Home who took such loving care of Ruth for 11 years.  A special thank you, to her nurse, Jane and her aide Margaret, who became like daughters to her. Thanks also to everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers as we traveled this journey with Ruth.  She will always be in hearts of those who loved her. We will cherish the memories we have of Ruth forever. WALWORTH: Entered into rest on February 25, 2019 in his 85th year.  Born November 16, 1933 in East Rochester, Bill was raised in Walworth and called it his home until his passing.  He graduated from Wayne Central High School in 1952, was in the Army for 3 years, stationed in Frankfurt, Germany where he met his beloved wife of 63 years, Henriette. Bill worked at Xerox until his retirement in the mid 90’s and was a member of the Walworth Fire Dept. for many years.  After his retirement, Bill and Henny loved to travel.  Amongst his activities, the most important thing to Bill was his wife, children, and grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Henriette; survived by children, Bunny (Thomas) Trost, William (Mimi) Underhill; grandchildren, Todd Tyson, Cody & Jaimie Underhill; great grandchildren, Hailey & Jackson Tyson.  NEWARK: Connie Tack, 82, died Tuesday (February 26, 2019) at her home. Connie was born on February 19, 1937 in Sodus, New York.  She was a graduate of Newark High School, Class of 1955 and a member of the Park Presbyterian Church.  Connie married Robert Tack on June 16, 1956,  happily spending the last 62 years together. She is survived by her husband Bob; her children  Jeff (Melissa) of Newark, Randy (Michele) of Marion and Missy (Philip) Lindberg of Newark; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters Sue (Jim) Kline and Marilyn Monje both of Newark and a brother Larry (Pam) DeMeyers of Augusta, GA; several nieces and nephews.  Connie was predeceased by her mother Katherine DeMeyers; grandson Alexander Tack; brother Roger DeMeyers. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday (March 1st) at the Paul L. SAVANNAH: Age 69, passed away at home, unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was predeceased by his parents; Lyle and Olive Moody; sister, Rose; son, Wayne Jr. He is survived by his children, Vicki (Marty) Rewa of Savannah, Jonathon Moody of Wolcott, Theodore (Tammy) Moody of Savannah, Amanda (Steven) Bates of Seneca Falls and Jeremiah (Karen) Moody of Savannah; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many, many friends. Wayne started his autobody career in 1978 at D&R Garage in Newark where he gained valuable experience prior to leaving in 1986 to start his own shop. In 1986 he opened B&W Body Shop on Iocco Rd. in Savannah and ran it with the help of his family until 1997. He could be found in later years doing complete classic car restorations alongside his best friend, Dave Spickerman, at Dave’s Classics.  SODUS: Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at the age of 68 years old. She had resided in Sodus, (Wayne County) NY for more than 30 years. She is survived by her brother Donald Feedham, sister Elaine Dougherty, son Kevin (Barbara) Murszewski, daughter Amanda Ellis, son Timothy (Samantha) Murszewski and daughter Candice Murszewski; grandchildren Joshua Bowman, Shyana Mcleod and Hadley Murszewski; great-grandchild Mia Bowman. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, niece and nephew. Sue was a private person and did not wish there to be any services. LYONS: Age 92, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Wayne County Nursing Home. Catherine was born April 29, 1926 in Lyons, a daughter to the late Frederick and Ruth Stauffer Buisch. She was a nurse at the former Lyons Community Hospital.  Catherine was an active member of the Lyons United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women (UMW) and church choir. Predeceased by her first husband, Albert and numerous siblings.  She is survived by her husband, Herman; son, Dale (Judy) Ehman of Amherst; daughter, Nancy (Kevin) Wiebald of Newark; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Joanne) Ehman and Jennifer (Michael) Smith, 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. ONTARIO: Richard passed away on January 31, 2019 at age 83. He was born in Webster, NY to Louis and Helen Bergen. Richard was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Rachel Bergen and 5 siblings.  He is survived by his wife, Arlena Bergen; sons, Richard, Gene (Pam) and Tom Bergen; daughters, Arlena (Eric) Zlatin and Jenifer (Randal) Calus; grandchildren, sister, Betty Furmage. Schmutzler, Barbara J.

CLYDE: Barbara J. Schmutzler, 83, of Clyde, NY passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at home. Born in Syracuse to Lester and Vivian Schmutzler she moved around over the years. But Barbara made friends wherever she went, she loved her independence, the freedom to ride her bike around town and get coffee at the Fastrac or walk down on Friday nights and get a fish sandwich. She loved making potholders and giving them away. She collected beads to make necklaces. She had a fondness for all kinds pet’s, of which she had many in home and she enjoyed them all. She liked watching Survivor with Karen and when they lived in Virginia, they had opportunity to meet Big Tom where he told them his story of not being well educated and trying to make his way through life. Barbara loved her family so much and she adored her sister Ruth, her brothers and her cousins…she could recite the whole family tree. Barb was predeceased by her parents and her step mother Rita; her brother Richard and her sister Ruth Goodfellow Cook; and her former caregiver Joanne Perry, Karen’s mother. She is survived by her brother Lester, Jr. of Camillus, many nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend and caregiver Karen Stuck. Services are 7 pm Wednesday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee, Camillus. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 7 pm before services. Burial will be next to her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
