CLYDE: Age 66, of Benning Rd. died Monday February  4, 2019. Terry was born in Lyons, April 15, 1952, son of Donald & Patricia Spoor Creager. He was an Ironworker for Local 33 in Rochester. He spent a short time in the Marines. Terry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting & outdoor cooking with his friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Survived by his parents, Donald & Patricia Spoor Creager of Victor; 2 daughters, Carla (Michael) Pealer, Michele (Jesse) Ferguson; 3 sisters, Jackie Emmons, Martha Creager, Joann ( Dave ) Owens, 2 brothers, Donald & David Creager, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, Loving companion, Sharon Brown; his beloved dog Zach, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins; best friends, Benny Lee, Patty Wiltsie, Ted, Bill Ellis, & many other friends. ROSE: Age 90, a resident of Newark Manor passed away Friday, February 08, 2019. Bob was born October 21, 1928 in Lyons, a son to Edmund C. and Freeda Lester Smith.  He was employed by Durkee Foods in Wolcott, Curtis-Burns in Alton, Mobil Chemical in Macedon and the Town of Rose Highway Department throughout the years. Bob faithfully served as a 50 plus year member of Rose Fire Department. He was predeceased by his first wife Lyla, son, Robert and brother, Howard.  Survived by his wife Lillian; son, James; daughter, Shirley (Ernest) Fletcher; step-children, Leonard Webster and Wendy Edick; 11 grandchildren, Ashlyn, Nicholas, Tanya, Paul, Todd, Stephanie, Emily, Katie, Brett, Richelle and Chasity; several great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois (Clifford) Steitler and Joan (Ken) Roberts; brother, Charles (Grace) Smith; nieces and nephews. ONTARIO: Went home to be with her Lord on February 9, 2019 at age 93. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John Richmond in 2007. Fern was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church of Sodus.  She was devoted to her family and loved being a mother and grandmother. Survived by her loving children:  David (Peg) Richmond; daughters, Linda (Douglas) Sass, Sandra Peterham; special grandchildren, Michael (Heahter) Sass, Julie (Andrew) Holmes, Josiah, Noah, and Aaron Peterham; great-grandchildren, Michael Carew, Hailey Holmes and Sammy Sass; sister: Esther Benedict; sisters in law:  Ruth Richmond and Julia Wemes; nieces and nephews; and special friends. LYONS: Age 64, of Gansz Rd., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 9, 2019. Sandra was born March 10, 1954, a daughter to Anthony and Virginia Crossen Westerman. She was an animal lover and rescuer at her farm and was employed through the years at Wayne County Social Services, Kwik Fill, Walmart, and was known as the person at the gate for South Butler Nostalgia Dragway. She is survived by her husband Bill of 40 years; adopted son, Mike; sister, Debra (Dick) Letson of Red Creek; niece, Samantha; nephew, JR; great niece, Ruby; and many extra special friends in the animal world and her work. No services are planned at this time.

PALM COAST, FL: Born 22 November 1939 in Savannah, NY, to Esther May Ferris (née Markle) and Paul Joseph Ferris, passed away 07 February 2019 in Palm Coast, FL. His wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Ferris (née Wilson), survives him, along with his six children: Randolph Ferris, Jeffrey Ferris, Daphne Keys, Stephanie Haile, Robert Ferris, and Daniel Ferris. He leaves 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Other surviving relatives include Larry’s brothers Homer P. Ferris and Robert N. Ferris (wife Joan Ferris), and several nieces and nephews. Larry was known as Butch to his classmates at Leavenworth Central High School (class of 1957) where he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. He served overseas in the Air Force before returning home and completing his college degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in night school. Larry was a dedicated father and soccer coach to his children. His career as an Electrical Engineer included time with Stromberg-Carlson, Harris Corporation, and the M&T Company. Larry was a lifelong New York Giants fan, and loved to play poker with his family and bake for them in retirement. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, 12 Noon at Clymer Funeral Home, 39 Old Kings Highway, Palm Coast, FL. NEWARK – PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY: Glenn E. Schiltz, a writer and educator, died Monday (February 11, 2019) at his home in Princeton, after a long illness. He was 54 years old. Glenn was born on October 30, 1964 in Newark, New York. He was a gifted student who played lacrosse and soccer and graduated from Newark High School in 1982. He attended Case Western Reserve on scholarship, graduating with a degree in English in 1986. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in Communications from San Diego State University. In Los Angeles, Glenn worked in film as a development director and writer until 2000, when he moved with his family to Princeton, N.J. At Rider University, he earned a master’s degree in Education. He taught Middle School in Newark, N.J. and Robbinsville, N.J. He was a creative teacher who took great pride in his work. His students, now grown, frequently stopped him on the street to tell him how he inspired them. He retired early due to cancer. Glenn was also a talented storyteller, artist, and woodworker who brought great joy to his family and friends. He was immensely funny and genuinely interested in the lives of everyone he met. He is survived by his mother and father, Vivian and Donald Schiltz,  Carolyn Rouse his wife of 28years , his children Zora, Elijah, and Skylar, his sister, Susan Schiltz Skeels. Friends may call on Saturday (February 23rd) from 2-4 P.M.at the Paul L. MACEDON: Our father joined his son, Richard D. VanHoute, in heaven on February 8, 2019 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his father, Isaac VanHoute and step-mother, Eva VanHoute; his birth mother, Mabel VanHoute (who died when he was very young) and his aunt, Doris Vosburgh, who helped to raise him until his father remarried.  Harold is survived by his wife Marion of 26 years; daughter Susan (James) Sachs; son Douglas (Marianne) VanHoute; Myra Franke VanHoute (mother of Susan, Richard and Doug);  grandchildren; Brian (Vicki) Ioele, Jeffrey (Kathy) Ioele, Kristy Ioele, Lisa Sachs, James (Heather) Sachs, David (Hiromi) VanHoute, Rick VanHoute, Emma VanHoute, Simon VanHoute; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; Sisters, Ruth Smith and Betty Lowley and several cousins. Harold was born in Newark where he resided until he enlisted in the US Army. He served in the US Army Motor Pool from 1949-1952. Upon his discharge from the Army, Harold established his home in Macedon where he became active as a volunteer fireman, Little League coach and was a Pal-Mac Central Schools bus driver for 12 years. In addition, Harold was an avid bowler, a Mason and also assisted in establishing the Post #494 of the American Legion in Macedon. To Honor Harold, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 12-2PM where a celebration of life service will immediately follow visitation at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. ONTARIO/WOLCOTT: Patricia entered into rest peacefully (Friday) February 8, 2019 at age 87. Pat was born in Rochester, NY to the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian Hartung. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Peter; daughter, Susan (Agne) Boerman; brother, George Land. Patricia is survived by her children, Shirley (Bill) O’Leary, Barbara (Russell) Kuelling, David (Betsy) Agne, Dennis (Kathy) Agne; step-children, Karrie Rutherford and Michael (Susan) Densmore; sister in law, Anne (Richard) Fero; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Pat was a loving, caring, giving mother to all. Pat started her career as a waitress, then worked at Bausch & Lomb, Fanny Farmer and drove a station wagon school bus for BOCES for many years. After Pat moved to Wolcott she did rural mail delivery for years. Pat loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Making jams and canning fresh vegetables. Pat became very active in the North Rose United Methodist Church where she volunteered many hours at their thrift shop with her wonderful group of friends. Pat loved fishing at their camp up north and enjoyed their winters in Florida, where they would go to market and sell apples from New York. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff on the 2 South wing at Newark Hospital for all their kindness and wonderful care while Mom was in hospice there. Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday (February 22) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY, where Patricia’s funeral service will be held on Saturday (February 23) at 11 AM. Gwen was a proud owner of Bushart Farms along with her husband for over 50 years.  She was very devoted to her faith and family. WOLCOTT: Passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Clifton Springs Hospital. Judy was born April 22, 1954 the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Lomire. In her younger years Judy used to enjoy riding horses. She loved the outdoors. Judy was a strong-willed woman who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was the first person to be there if you needed help. Judy will be sadly missed by all. Judy is survived by her significant other Deb Smith; son, Mark Webber; several grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; Siblings Robert Lomire, Ronnie Lomire, James Lomire, Mary Cole, Dorothy Lomire, Rosie Lomire and Eileen Cole; nieces and nephews. Judy is predeceased by her son, Roger  Webber and sister, Carolyn Lomire.  In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. ONTARIO/ROCHESTER: Donna (Steffenhagen) Vasseur, 81 years young, died on February 12 after a vibrant life filled with love and simple joys: trips to Myrtle Beach, an oaky Chardonnay, a good bargain, crusty Italian bread, and a sassy black outfit with heels and some bling. She was an incredible mother who put her children and grandchildren above everything: son David Vasseur of Houston, Tx; son Thomas Vasseur of Washington, D.C.; daughter Sandy Hattendorf (Dan) of Charlotte, NC; and grandsons Mack and Casey. She is also survived by her “sister-cousin” Leah Rogalski (John); niece Janet Reiss (George); “bonus kids” Betsy Farris and Todd Roosa; and many more loving family members and friends. Donna was predeceased by her husband Laverne Vasseur, brother Tom Ceniglis (Reba), and special friend Phil Mills. ONTARIO: Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019, surrounded by loving family at the age of 81.  Linda was born on May 5, 1937 to the late Kenneth and Beulah “DeHond” Verhow and is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James F. Doyle; devoted children, Sharon (Martin) James, Timothy (Robyne) Doyle, JoAnn (Curt) Raleigh, David (Laura) Doyle; loving grandchildren, Lauren (Justin) Gass,  Corey Pschierer, Jessica James, Robert (Brianna) James, Thomas Raleigh, Joshua Raleigh, Claire Raleigh, Emerson Doyle, Piper Doyle, Aidan Doyle and Domenic Doyle; great-grandchildren, Riley James and Declan James, extended family and many friends. Linda was a devoted wife to Jim and mother to her children.  She had a strong faith and was active with St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Ontario.  For many years she worked as a teacher’s aide at Wayne Central Schools where much of her time was spent in classrooms with special needs students.  Family was very important, she was the fourth of eight children and she looked forward to time spent with her children, grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was a lifetime member with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ontario Fire Company.  Linda will be missed by her loving family members and many friends. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Satruday, February 23, 2019 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in St. Mary’s of the Lake Parish at 11AM.  Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to the Pines of Peace Comfort Care Home, or to the American Diabetes Association.  Please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com to light a candle, leave a condolence, or upload a photo.

NEWARK: Bruce P. Adams, Newark-passed away suddenly on February 14, 2019 in Englewood, Fl. Since his retirement from Wayne County Mental Health in 2007: he has been enjoying his love of golf and traveling around the  country. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia and siblings; James (Mitzie) Adams, Don (Kathy) Adams, David (Nadene) Adams; inlaws- Ron (Helen) Ceravolo, Vincent (Sylvia) Ceravolo and Tim (Amanda) Ceravolo,  mother in-law Bev (Don) Vanhoover and many Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and dear friends.  Services will be announced at a later date.

Miller, Nancy A.

CLYDE: Nancy A. Miller, age 61, died on Monday, (February 18, 2019) at the Sodus Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. Nancy was born in Schenectady, New York the daughter of Kenneth and Hazel Bender Miller on January 6, 1958. For a time she worked at Wayne ARC. She loved singing, bingo and many of the activities at the Sodus Nursing Home. Her family would like to thank the staff at the nursing home that doted on her these many years.  Nancy is survived by three brothers Kenneth (Joan) Miller Jr. of Esperance NY, Christopher (Kathy) Miller of Lyons, Mark (Judith) Miller of Clyde and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her twin brother John Miller and a brother Frank Miller, a nephew Octavian Hofman and a niece Faith Miller.  Friends may call on Friday (February 22nd)  from 5-7pm at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 West Genesee Street, Clyde. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 7pm in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Clyde. Memorials, in her name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Memorials, 1120 South Goodman St, Rochester, New York  14620. Arrangements entrusted to: Baris Funeral Home.
