Crannell, Thomas obituary photoCAYUGA: Died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at age 70, following a brief illness. He was born in Oneonta, a son to Gertrude Crannell and grew up in Clyde. Tom was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed farmer, working the family farm in Sodus and continued on to agribusiness. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, helping others and maintaining his faith. He was predeceased by a son, Michael, who died in 1995 and by his mother, Gertrude, who died in 2005. Tom is survived by his children, Steven (Carrie) Crannell of Lee, MA and Laura (Ty) Wilkey of Washington, IL; three brothers, Peter (Karen Wilmarth) Crannell of Port Byron, Max (Diane) Crannell of Lyons and Billy Crannell of Newark; two sisters, Sue (Ed) Gryska and Madaline Crannell both of Elmira; six grandchildren, Erin, Aubrey, Brittney, Madison, Harley and Peyton as well as several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1 DiPronio Drive, Waterloo, NY. He also enjoyed building model planes. He was currently employed at McDonalds in Wolcott. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Terwilliger, Grandfather Willis Drake and Grandmother Isabelle Drake and his great grandmother Mildred Houghtaling. Timothy is survived by his parents, Howard and Melissa (Terwilliger) Drake of Red Creek, his grandmother, Joyce Terwilliger of Red Creek, three brothers, Nathan Drake, Dakota Drake and Brett Drake all of Red Creek, four uncles, Tim Perry of Red Creek, Lonny (Helen) Drake of Red Creek, Ric (Stacey) Terwilliger of Charlotte South Carolina and Louis (Jean) Britton of Williamstown. Aunt, Vickie (Beck) Beckwith of Arizona. Great Uncle Robert (Gail) Houghtaling of Walworth , as well as numerous cousins. Dale Martin picNEWARK: Age 57, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 6, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Donna (Conley) Martin; his mother, Shirley (Pembroke) Martin of Newark; his son, Brandon D. (H. Ashley) Martin, his brothers, Steven (Marcia) Martin, Daryl (Sue) Martin and Randy (Jim) Martin, grandchildren, Brielle, Blake, Mason and Brayson Martin. His loving in-laws, Donald and Frances Conley of Newark, Sisters-in-law, Debbie (Conley) Doug Ball, Susan (Conley) Ronald Dulmage and many nieces. Dale was predeceased by his father, Gerald J. Martin. Dale graduated from Newark High School and worked on the family farm, “Martin’s Dairy” for many years, then went on to work for Dairy Marketing Services as a certified milk inspector and later operated a successful excavating business. His passions were family and traveling with his wife and friends on his Harley Davidson motorcycle with trips covering many states. Croft, Major William “Billy”

BRADFORD NY – Major William E. ‘’Billy’’ Croft, age 48, of Lamoka Lake, Bradford, NY died Tuesday June 7, 2016 at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y. after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. William was born February 27, 1968 in Corning, NY, the son of William E. and Jean Marie (Welsh) Croft.

Billy graduated from Dundee Central School in 1987. In 1990 he enlisted in the US Army and began his military career. While in the Army, he achieved the rank of Major and served multiple tours overseas, including Germany, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Africa. While serving his country he also worked to complete his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Education from the State University at Cortland. In 1994 Billy graduated from the Southern Tier Police Academy and started his law enforcement career in Watkins Glen, NY.  Billy later went on to serve and protect for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wolcott PD, Lyons PD, and eventually retired from the Newark Police Department. He is loved and will be forever missed by his twin daughters Maria J. Croft, and Hannah N. Croft, his son William “Bryson” Croft, and step-son Ryan W. Clark-Sulkey, all of Newark, NY; his father William E. Croft of Harrisburg, PA, mother Jean Marie (Donald) Kosty of Lamoka Lake, brother Joseph “Joey” H. (Kerry) Croft of Williamson, NY; sister Kerri M. (John) Cover of Millersburg, PA; uncles John “Ben” (Darlene) Welsh of Italy Hill, NY, Edward J. (Priscilla) Croft of Mount Pleasant, SC, aunt Margaret Moore of Prospect, KY; nephew Harry “LJ” Croft; nieces Katelynn Cover, Jessica Cover, Elizabeth “Libby” Croft, cousin Ron “Grew” (Patricia) Tormey and family, and close friends Mary Hilkert and family; along with several dear cousins; countless friends; and all of his fellow brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement, and the U.S. Armed Forces. She was born in North Rose, NY to the late Mervin L Dagel and Harriett Himes DeNeef McIntyre. Virginia owned a beauty shop, was a real estate broker in Sodus Point, NY and served as Town Assessor in Sodus Point, NY. She moved to Flagler Beach, Florida in 1974, where she continued as a real estate broker. Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Robert H. Ford in 1986 and her husband of 15 years, Gerald Reed in 2002.
