WOLCOTT: Age 69, Passed away peacefully at home January 28th , 2019 after a long battle with a progressive lung disease. Forever loved and missed by wife, Linda; son, Preston; brother, Jeff (Diane); sister-in-law, Linda R. LaGasse; many wonderful nieces, nephews, in-laws, family in Germany and incredible friends. He was predeceased by brother, John and parents, Marianne and Roger LaGasse. Pat was a proud Navy veteran and served aboard the USS Forrestal. He retired from Heluva Good Cheese after 33 years. He enjoyed camping and canoeing (especially in the Adirondacks), winters in Bon Secour, Alabama and riding his 1971 Triumph Tiger. Many thanks to Dr. Persaud, RGH nurses and doctors and Lifetime Care and Hospice. So grateful for all.  Per Pat’s wishes, a “Celebration of Life” will be held at the family’s convenience. WILLIAMSON: Entered into rest peacefully on (Tuesday) January 29, 2019 at age 93. He was born in Rochester, NY on April 25th, 1925 to the late Vincent and Tomasina Apollonia Sisto.  He is also predeceased by his wife: Emma “Jane” DiSisto; brother:  Louis (Mary) DiSisto; sisters: Sandy (Tom) Arena and Jennie (Joe) Bellanco. Marco proudly served our country in the United States Army as a paratrooper and attained the rank of Corporal. He worked for Bloomer Brothers/Fold-Pak in Newark, NY retiring after many years of service. Marco was also known as a local fruit and vegetable farmer in the Williamson area. He is survived by his nieces:  Linda (LeRoy) Ryan, Donna Arena, Carol Arena, Diane (Ron) DePape, and Judy Cumbo; several great nieces, nephews and many special friends. McMann Jr., Sherman C.

MACEDON: Passed away on January 27th 2019 at the age of 56. Sherman was born on March 23rd 1962 in Newark, New York. Predeceased by his father Sherman C. McMann Sr., mother Nancy Getz McMann, and infant sister Nancy McMann. Sherman. Survived by his brother Rodney (Jolene) McMann;  and niece Charlotte McMann of Summerville, South Carolina;  fiance Dee Miller and a host of step-grandchildren. Sherman worked at Berry Plastics, formerly Mobil chemical, for 34 years before starting work at Mott’s in Williamson. Sherman’s love of motorcycle riding afforded him travel across the United States making numerous lifelong friends along the way. Sherman loved waterfalls and had a great appreciation for the beauty nature provided. When Sherman was not working he was out riding his Harley. Sherman was also very proud of his FXR that He restored himself. Sherman loved all things with a motor. Sherman was loved by all he met. Sherman had a huge heart and always showed genuine concern for his friends. Sherman was the kind of person that strangers would strike up a conversation with no matter where he went. Sherman had a great love of animals and for his beloved Rottweiler Azor and, Chihuahua, Mickey. There will be no calling hours or service at this time. There will be a celebration of life to honor Sherman. Information to follow at a later date. Forgione, Nicholas A. “Buck”

 LYONS: Nicholas A. “Buck” Forgione passed away peacefully Wednesday (January 30, 2019) at the age of 90 yrs, in the Canandaigua Veterans Hospital. Buck was born on Franklin St. , in Lyons , November 3,1928, son of Anthony and Josephine Incarnato Forgione. Spending a fulfilled life in Lyons, graduating from Lyons High Schools in 1949. Nick was awarded athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and track. His nickname Buck began at this time, as he was entered into the Lyons Central school Hall of Fame. He served his country with U. S. Army in 1950 in Korea with the 10th Field artillery Battery B3rd division. He was wounded in conflict and received the Purple Heart. When returning home from the service, Buck worked for Whitacre specialities as a member Ironworkers Local 33, for 66 yrs. He served his Community as a local police officer, Town and Village Justice for 29 yrs, he served on the Lyons school board for 20 yrs., as president and vice president. He served on the board for 35 yrs. at Wayne Finger Lakes Refereeing Assoc. He served as president of Lyons Rural Cemetery, and the NYS. Magistrate Assoc. He enjoyed operating Bucks Dog Wagon, for 38 yrs. He was past commander of American Legion in Lyons, and a member of the VFW, Lyons Elks Club, Sons of Italy, charter member of the Wayne Hills Country Club, Lyons Heritage Society, St. Michael’s Church. Nick will be remembered by his loving wife of 67 yrs., Cecelia; daughters Susan, Forgione, Lisa (John) Goy, Lynne (Nicholas) Sculli; son, Nicholas (Lynn O’Toole) Forgione; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Tinella, Lucille, and Anna; and brother-in-law, Ronald. Friends may call Sunday (February 3) 1 to 4 p.m. at the Boeheim – Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St. Lyons. Funeral mass will be on Monday (February 4) at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph the Worker (St. Michaels) Lyons. Burial in South Lyons Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials to V.A. McDonough, Fredrick R.

MACEDON: Age 96, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 30, 2019.  He was born on January 25, 1923, in Rochester, NY to the late Edward and Margaret “Phillips” McDonough.  For several years, he owned and operated Corky’s Tavern on Wayneport Road, in Macedon, NY, with his late wife Cora McDonough.  Fred served our country as a paratrooper in the United States Army during WWII and had served in Okinawa.  He was the recipient of the Purple Heart.  He honored the American flag by raising and lowering it every day in memory of those who serviced alongside him. Fred enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was a true Irishman who enjoyed laughter, spirits and fun.  He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, camping bowling and many other activities. Fred is survived by his four daughters, Diane Naus, Donna Beverly, Linda McDonough and Tina Brown; step-sons, Robert Thompson and Clifford Thompson; step-daughters, Sandi Grant and June Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 10AM at the Creation Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY where entombment will follow. Maslyn, Dolores “Dee”

GOODYEAR, ARIZONA: Died of cancer on January 28, 2019 although the battle never diminished her spirit.  She always had joy in her heart from a long life full of love, family and memories. She was born on February 11 1940 in Newark, NY to Elizabeth “Betty” and Raymond Shelters. From the age of 7, she also had Vincent Cill to call her father after he and Betty married. Dee had a vivacious spirit. She was a cheerleader at Newark High School and worked as a dental hygienist in Phelps NY which is where she met her husband Edwin Maslyn. Ed and Dee married in 1962 and had four children.  She worked at Scott Libby Elementary School for 20 years. They were an adventurous family traveling the country in a Suburban and travel trailer for several multi-week trips. Later on Ed and Dee enjoyed traveling together all over the world. Dee loved holidays and would spend days decorating and baking in anticipation of family gatherings. She was always the first to call her children and grandchildren on their birthdays to sing Happy Birthday and loved to send greeting cards for every holiday, especially ones filled with confetti to make a mess and then laugh about it. Dee taught her family the importance of sending thank you notes and loved reading stories to her grandchildren and great grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Ed, her children Todd Maslyn, Michel (Chris) Savini, Kelle (Cliff) Maslyn, and Jamie (Scott) Larson; her grandchildren Tera (Erikka) VanderPutten, Alyssa and Joshua Maslyn and Annika Larson; her great grandchild Elizabella VanderPutten; and her brother Mark Cill and sister Nancy Comella. Services to celebrate her amazing life will be held on Monday, Feb 11 at 10:30 am at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 13720 W Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ 85392. CLYDE: Gerald M. Bates Sr. 83, of Sibley St. died Friday ( January 18, 2019 ). Jerry was born in Lyons, November 24,1935. He retired as a supervisor with Mobile Chemical in Macedon,  after 34 years of service. He also served in the Marines from 1953-1956. He is survived by his daughter, Jeryl (John) Gould of Clyde; Sons John (Donna) of Newark, James (Tammy) of Geneva, and Jody Bates of Elbridge; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Marie Cazzola of Baldwinsville, Nancy Loucks of Washinghton and brother-in-law, Ralph Howell of Clyde. LYONS: Mike Keeley, 72, died Friday (February 1, 2019) at Geneva General Hospital after a brief illness. Mike was born on October 21, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late James P. and Elizebeth Hoose Keeley II.  He was a graduated of Geneva High School in 1965. For fifteen years, he worked in an auto collision shop. Then for next twenty five years, Mike was a  commercial roofer and a farrier. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Karen (Tellier) Keeley, his daughters Laura (Mark Jontos) Keeley Sovereign, Katlynn Keeley; sons Lucas (Brittany) Keeley, Branigan (Melissa) Keeley, Adam (Brooke) Keeley; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters Patricia McDermott and Marianne (William) McConkey and many nieces, nephews and cousins and best friend Scooter. Elaine was born February 25, 1940 in Rochester, a daughter to the late Everett and Gladys Merrell Sullivan.  She was a nurse’s aide at the Wayne County Nursing Home for several years. WILLIAMSON: Entered into rest peacefully on (Thursday) January 31, 2019 at age 84. Predeceased by son-in-law: Joseph LaMark. Dan was a dedicated member of the Wolcott Elks Lodge #1763 for 45 years and of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. His strong faith continued as he enjoyed attending mass at St. Ann’s Home. He also was a very proud dairy farmer for many years. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine; children:  Daniel (Jennifer), Michael (Pamela), and Thomas (Tari) Markowski, and Lynn (Brian) Wersinger; grandchildren: Matthew (Jessica) Markowski, Corrine (Luke) Taylor, Kimberly (Daniel) Hall, Elizabeth (Tyler), Aaron (Emily), Sara, Ryan (Aislinn) Markowski, Abigail and Allison LaMark; great grandchildren:  Gracelyn, Faith, Noah, Reilly, Teagon, and Bailey; sisters in law: Virginia and Laila Markowski and Nancy Reed; brother in law: Richard Wisner; many extended family members and friends. Bartleson, Ruth

NORTH ROSE: February 6, 1925 – February 5, 2019 Ruth Bartleson passed away at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home one day before her 94th birthday. Ruth was born on February 6, 1925, in North Rose, New York, to Cecil and Leona Clingerman and was one of seven daughters.  She graduated from North Rose High School in 1942. Ruth married Leon J. Bartleson of Sodus, New York on April 17, 1943.  From the time of their marriage until 1983, they lived and worked on the Bartleson fruit farm. They then moved to North Rose where Ruth lived until 2007 following the death of her husband in 2003. Thereafter, Ruth resided at Parkwood Assisted Living in Macedon, and later Clifton Springs Nursing Home. In addition to assisting with their farm, Ruth worked as a dental office manager.  She was an active member of the Alton and North Rose Methodist Churches.  Ruth loved to entertain, was a talented quilter and seamstress, and enjoyed raising and canning her own produce.  She was very fond of animals, antiques and music. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Leon Bartleson; her parents, Cecil and Leona Clingerman; four sisters, Adele Clingerman, Thelma Collins, Grace Poole Smith, and Hazel Kise Badman; and her son-in-law, Jack Buzzell. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Buzzell of Macedon, Betsy McCranels (John) of Lyons, and Nancy Mervar (Charles) of Colorado; three grandchildren, Mike McCranels of Geneva, Lori Beth Willard (Doug) of Fairport, and Jeffrey Buzzell of Colorado; three great-grandchildren; and her sisters Elaine McQueen Nolen of Kentucky, and Maxine Rawden of Sodus, as well as several nieces and nephews. Contributions are suggested to:  North Rose Methodist Church, or the Chapel and/or Activities Departments of the Clifton Springs Nursing Home. MARION: Entered into rest on December 31, 2018 at the age of 89.  He is predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Blanche Ameele; his son, Barry Ameele; and his grandson, Christopher Remmel.  He is survived by his beloved wife of  71 years Shirley A. (VanGee) Ameele; children, Sue (Ameele) Remmel, David (Diana) Ameele; grandchildren, Michael (Colleen), Jeffrey (Kelly), and Scott Remmel; great grandchildren, Corey (Rich), Courtney, Logan, Tim (Erika) Stanton, Ashley Remmel, and Amanda Pratt; great great grandchildren, Grayson and Hunter Stanton; many loving nieces, nephews, and special attentative friends. He was a local well known carpenter, and president of Ameele Construction for 50 years. He ran a 150 acre beef cattle farm, and was an avid deer hunter which he did at the property in Canisteo, NY, where he had hunted since he was 16. Ramos, Antonia Emilia ‘Milla’

MACEDON: Passed away on Monday, February 5, 2019, at the age of 84.  Antonia was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on May 28, 1934, the daughter of Juanita Hernandez and Tomas Cruz. Milla was one of nine children and is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Eddie, and six siblings. She is survived by her devoted children, Brenda, Edward and Harry (Mary) Ramos; grandchildren, Morgan, Robert, Thomas and Nicholas Ramos; granddaughters-in-law, Michelle Jesse-Ramos and Alena Comella-Ramos; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. As a youngster Milla left elementary school to help her single mother raise her six younger siblings. As a young woman, Antonia moved from Puerto Rico to New York City and lived with family. She lived in Lower Manhattan and it was here that she met her sweetheart, Eddie, at a church social. After returning from the Korean War, Eddie and Antonia married and resided in East Village. While raising three children she worked in the garment industry and was a proud member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union. With the birth of their first son, they moved to East Harlem and lived there for over 20 years. In 1982 they bought a rowhouse in the Fordham area of the Bronx and lived there before moving to Upstate New York in 2005. Eventually, she and Eddie relocated to Macedon, NY to be closer to family. Antonia was strong in her faith, and was a survivor of breast and stomach cancer.  She enjoyed espresso coffee, cooking, cleaning, shopping, dancing, Latin music, and attending events with their grandchildren ranging from swim meets, to plays, to concerts.  She loved her family and especially her grandchildren, celebrating their birthdays, holidays and milestones in their lives. Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation, Friday, February 8, 2019 from 5-8PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  A celebration of Milla’s life will be offered through a service, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10AM at the funeral home. PALMYRA: Mary passed away in the Wayne County Nursing Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was born in Perry, NY on November 4, 1928 to Fred and Anna Long. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Edward F. Murray and their son, Daniel, her sister Evangeline Murray and her son-in-law, Randy VerDow. Mary is survived by her husband, Bradley Griffith; children, Katherine (George) Cooper, Mary VerDow, Patrick (Nancy) Murray, Michael Murray and Sharon (Ray) Hall; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Mary is also survived by her cousin, Margie Robichaud and good friends, Thelma Pulcini and Delphyn McNeil. Per Mary’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service and interment will be held in the Spring.
