SAVANNAH: Age 61, of Olmstead Road, died Thursday, September 15, 2016. Jerry was born in Auburn, January 15, 1955, son of Robert and Emogene VanNorstrand LaVere. He was a truck driver for 15 years for Seneca Foods and drove for Jackson & Johnson and K&J Transportation. He was a great NASCAR fan and a member of the NRA. He loved to camp, especially at Piney Woods. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Patty (Petrus) LaVere of Savannah, 3 daughters; Anitra (LaVar) Harris, Trish (Rob Lauster) LaVere of Clyde, and Deidra (Mike Sabansky) LaVere of Savannah, grandchildren: Kayden, Jailyn, Laithyn, Kamden, Tailyn, 2 sisters: Cindy (Joe) Carnevale of Michigan, Kris (Dick) Vanderlinde of Lyons, nieces and nephews, mother-in-law: Freda Petrus, sisters-in-law: Mary Anne (Ed) Roche,  Donna (Tim) Munson, Charlene McKinney and Andrea Petrus, brother-in-law: Richard Petrus Jr. Predeceased by brother-in-law Charles Petrus and father-in-law: Richard Petrus Sr.

WOLCOTT, Age 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 14,2016 at St. Ann’s Community Leo Center for Caring, with his family by his side.

Friends and family may call 3 pm – 6 pm on Thursday (Sept, 22) at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main Street N. Rose, followed by a service at 6 pm with Pastor Dave Parker officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be to Lakeshore Volunteer Ambulance, 5841 New Hartford St., Wolcott, NY 14590.

Ben was born on August 22,1926 in Butler, a son to the late Judson and Laura Leadley Van Deusen. He retired as a Procurement Specialist from Xerox in 1988. He was a member of the New York State Houndsmen, Red Creek Conservation Club and a lifetime time member of the NRA. He loved fishing and was an avid hunter but most dear to him was farming.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Jackie of 50 years; his children, Barbara Hill, Pamela Taylor, Eugene (Laura) Van Deusen, Greg (Linda) Van Deusen, Garth Van Deusen, Ronald Van Deusen, Gary (Cheryl) Moody, Rose LaValley and Carolyn Harrison; 22 grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ardis Harriot; and many nieces and nephews.

Ben is preceded in death by his grand-daughter, Sarah Van Deusen; 2 brothers, Judson and Norman Van Deusen and 2 sisters, Sally Jones and Gertrude Hurley.

SHORTSVILLE: Age 57, passed away September 10, 2016 after a long illness. Employed by Woodcliff Hotel & Spa, in Fairport, NY. He was the chief maintenance engineer for 10 years. His favorite pleasures were fishing, gardening, NASCAR, and playing guitar. Mark had a great mind for mechanics and could repair just about anything. He had a keen memory for songs, poems, jokes and was a great storyteller. Mark was a special guy. He had a special gift to entertain. He could walk into a room and within minutes everyone would be laughing and celebrating life. He was a man of knowledge and know-how. He often offered his skills to build, or fix something for a friend that they needed done. Mark was a good friend. He will be dearly missed. Mark is survived by his wife, Frances Chapman Green. Predeceased by his father Clyde William Green. He is survived by his mother Carol Wolf and step-father, Kenneth Wolf Sr. of Apple Valley, CA. He is survived by daughter, Melissa (Tom) Gisel of Chicago, and her mom Debbie; stepchildren Gina Roth of Canandaigua, NY, Randall (April) Chapman of Manchester, NY, Lauren Chapman of Maine; siblings Matthew Green of Canandaigua, NY, Michael Green of CA, Shari (Jon) Beneda of Apple Valley, CA, Kenneth (Denise) Wolf of CA, Robert (Jennifer) Wolf of CA, and many nieces and nephews. WALWORTH: Evan James Williamson, 17, of Walworth passed away suddenly on September 21, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on July 29, 1999 in Newark to Craig Williamson and Mary Stoughtenger. He is predeceased by Great Grandpa Donald Washburn and Great Grandpa Jack Stoughtenger, Great Grandpa Ralph Williamson; Grandma and Grandpa Bacon. He is survived by his parents Craig Williamson and Mary Stoughtenger; siblings Makenna, Dominic, Angie and Bailey; grandparents Rodney and Shanon Malbone and Ron and Sue Williamson; Charles and Lisa Stoughtenger; aunts, uncles, cousins and close friend Timmy McDonald. He was an avid fan of the Steelers, enjoyed playing guitar and playing football with his brothers. evawilliamsonFriends may call on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 from 1 to 4 PM at Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford St., in Wolcott. MARION/CLIFTON SPRINGS: Age 86, Sept. 20, 2016. Mr. Triou was predeceased by his wife Jean Pfluke Triou; sisters Blanche Triou Wick, Elizabeth Triou Welker and Hazel Triou; brother Howard Triou. He is survived by his children Kathleen (William) Howe, Kenneth (Nancy) Triou, JoAnn (Michael) Burger and Gary (Stacey) Triou; grandchildren Laura (Dan) Fafinski, Brian (Jessica)Burger, Lynn Triou, Christopher (Sheila Howe), Audra (Gary) Olsen and Kapri, Kenadi and Kayla Barton; great-grandchildren Henry Fafinski, Grayson Howe and Aubrey Olsen and several nieces and nephews. CHULA VISTA, CALIF.: Passed into glory this Wed., Sept. 14, 2016, at 10:15 a.m., while surrounded by her husband and children. She was 38 years old, and had endured two-and-a-half years of Stage IV colon cancer. Originally from Ontario, N.Y., Mrs. Van Leuven’s immediate family she is survived by are her husband, Rev. Grant Van Leuven and their four children: Rachel Marie (13), Olivia Rose (11), Abraham David (8), and Isaac Van Leuven (3); her parents, Larry and Linda Hovey; and her brothers, Jonathan and Andrew Hovey. Mrs. Van Leuven earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood development along with her associate’s degree in business administration at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa. She was a full-time homemaker and mother who homeschooled her four children, and a deeply involved wife with her husband’s ministerial work for the Puritan Evangelical Church of America in Paradise Hills, Calif. Mrs. Van Leuven was especially passionate about pregnancy care services, for which she served her college internship in Pennsylvania. She with her family were very active in helping the East County Pregnancy Care Clinic develop financial resources to establish a satellite clinic in South East San Diego close to the church where she supported her husband in the ministry; that clinic recently secured a location and is slated to open by the end of this year. Burial services will be held on Friday, September 23, at 11 a.m., at Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Avenue, in San Diego, Calif. Her husband will officiate. All are welcome to attend.
