ONTARIO: Jerry died on January 3, 2017 at age 68. He was predeceased by his first wife, Suzanne; brothers, Frank, Richard and Martin Urbanik. Jerry is survived by his wife, April Urbanik; daughters, Jennifer (Jim) Smith and Dawn Privitera; grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Gordon) Bolton and Nancy (Robert) Manuse; brother, Eugene Urbaniks.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation on Friday (January 6) from 5-7 PM at the funeral chapel, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519, where his memorial service will be held at 7 PM. Interment in Marion Cemetery. Contributions in Jerry’s name may be directed to a charity of choice.

NEWARK: Age 65, died on Tuesday (January 3, 2017) at Clifton Springs Hospital. Paul was born on March 23, 1951 in Clifton Springs, the son of Roy and Edith Chapman Wemett. He graduated from Newark High School in 1969 and was the owner of Wayne Scrap Metal in Lyons for a few years, retiring in 1979. Paul was in a traveling pool league, he enjoyed fishing and had been a member of the Lyons Rod and Gun Club. He was an ardent NASCAR fan. Paul and his wife loved traveling and cruising. Paul is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sarah; daughter Kimberly (Fiance Darren Potter) Smith of Mountain Home, ID; three grandchildren Haley and Abby Smith, Logan Potter; sister Martha Hueter of Venice, FL; a nephew Christopher Wemett. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother David in 2006.
Friends may call from12:30 PM to 2 PM on Friday (January 6th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will be held at 2 P.M.

ELMIRA/SODUS: The second oldest of eight children, born to the late Jerry and Mamie Lee Thomas departed this life on December 29th, 2016 in Elmira, New York. Mr. Thomas was born in Dawson, Georgia on October 1st, 1930 along with his three brothers, Mr. Jerry Thomas Jr. (deceased) of Cocoa, Florida, Mr. Eddie Dean Thomas of Elmira, New York and Mr. John Thomas of Gary, Indiana; four sisters Mrs. Marie Howard, of Cocoa, Florida, Mrs. Erma Counsil of Rockledge, Florida, Mrs. Lillie Mae Jackson (deceased) of Elmira, New York and Mrs. Charity Ward of Cocoa, Florida. At an early age after settling from Georgia to Cocoa, Florida he met and married Rosa Lee (Wynn) Thomas (deceased) and from this union they were blessed with fourteen children, four boys and ten girls; sons Willie B. (Martha) Thomas Jr. (deceased) of Roselle, New Jersey, Rex Thomas of Elmira, New York, Charles Thomas of Elmira, New York, Michael Thomas of Sodus, New York; daughters Diane (Cleve) Martin of Sodus, New York, Sharon Thomas (deceased) of Cocoa, Florida, Faye Thomas of Sodus, New York, Deborah Thomas of Georgia, Lisa Thomas of Ithaca, New York, Connie Thomas of Newark, New York, Precious (Danny) Thompkins of Geneva, New York, Karen Williams (deceased) of Elmira, New York, Julie Thomas of Rochester, New York, Veronica Thomas of Lyons, New York. Also left to cherish many memories are twenty nine grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren and a host of family members and friends. Brother Thomas loved to fish, hunt and drink his coffee. He had a great love for his family and friends especially Rex whom he lived with until the end. He worked at Duffy Mott production where he retired after fifty years. He moved back to Elmira in 1993 but visited Sodus often to see old friends and family. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 from 11am-1pm at the New Life Outreach Christian Center, 103 William St., Lyons, N.Y. 14489. FAIRPORT: Went to be with the Lord at the age of 81 on January 7, 2017. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Arlene Ziegler Leenhouts; his daughters, Laurie Leenhouts of Macedon, NY and Amy (Robert) Tait of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Tones, Brandon (Michelle) Tones both of Rochester, Alexander Tait of Princeton, NJ and Margaret Tait of San Francisco, CA; great-grandchildren, Celeste, Julia, Lauren, and Jason Tones, Jr.; twin brother Nelson Leenhouts of Rochester; sister, Martha Leenhouts of Macedon; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caretakers.
Norman was a graduate of Wayne Central High School in Ontario, NY and the University of Rochester. He was a CPA, licensed real estate broker, developer and investment manager. He served as the director, or trustee, on many boards. He was cited with numerous awards for his service and philanthropy.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Norman, on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2PM in the Hale Auditorium at the Cultural Life Center of Roberts Wesleyan College, 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Patrick Kelly; children, Stacy (Donald) Kelly-Arnold, Kevin (Terri) and Shawn (Nancy Dulen) Kelly; grandchildren.

NEWARK: John Francis Meath, 52 entered eternal rest on Monday, January 9, 2017at his home. John was born the son of the late Francis and Lucia (Pizzirusso) Meath on Tuesday, December 8, 1964 in Newark, NY. He was a graduate of Newark High School, class of 1982. Following high school, he attended Finger Lakes Community College. John was presently working for the Newark Central School as a mail carrier. He enjoyed hanging out with many of his military buddies and body building. John will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Anthony (Faith) Meath and Christopher Meath; sisters Patricia Kamm and Alessandra Navarro; several nieces and nephews. The funeral home flies the Marine Corp. flag in honor of his service to our country. John was a very patriotic individual serving our country in each military branch, Air Force, Navy, Army and Marines.
Family will greet friends on Friday (Jan. 13) from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday (Jan. 14) at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, S. Main St, Newark. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in East Newark Cemetery.

MACEDON: January 3, 2017, age 78, Michael L. “Grandpa Dog” Heimes passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017 at Clifton Springs Hospital after a long battle with MDS; his loving wife, Dianne, by his side. He was 78 years old. Mike is survived by his wife Dianne Heimes of 37 years, his sister Mary Ann (Jerry) MacCammon, five children, Laura Heimes (Douglas Conners), Robert and David “Daddy D Dog” Heimes, Elizabeth (Mark) Owen, David (Katie Griffin) Barmaster; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
